My screen is frozen with a fraudulent message from someone posing as Windows Security with an alert that I am infected with a Trojan virus and need to call them for help./ I cannot get rid of the screen, have shut down the computer twice and it remains. Check it and then close that window and finally the popup. You should then see a box at the bottom, Do not allow this site to create new messages. If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.It's a common scam.
Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply. However, you can try some quick options to fix the frozen computer and bring it back to working condition. For a normal user, it may be difficult to diagnose the issue and find the root cause of the freeze. The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM. Frozen Windows may occur due to software updates, malware attacks, computer over-heating or hardware failure. When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note). Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient. Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan. 
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. 
Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish. I've run a McAfee full scan and a Windows Defender scan and don't know how to make it go away. Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from Here or Hereĭouble Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application. If something feels off about your phone or tablet, it might not even be a virus in the first place. You will probably need to use a USB drive to transfer the setup file, but it should be able to run.
